The NSSC Scheduling System
I remember the good old days of the National Spiritual Science Center and how well organized everything appeared to be.
Behind the scenes, Rev. Kathryn D. Gibson, Director of Worship Services and Ceremonies, coordinated the Sunday service schedule. Ministers and healers who wanted to serve provided their availability. From there, the assignments were prepared and mailed out.
The Sunday Service Calendar brought everything together. It showed who was serving, in what capacity, and on which Sunday. The roles included Lecturer, Co-Minister, Healers, and Mini Lecturer, with special student services appearing on the calendar as well.
It was a simple system that worked seamlessly.
Building the Historical Society’s Active Minister Listing has given me an even greater appreciation for the structure that kept NSSC’s Sunday service schedule working so smoothly.
We mirror that same principle of availability. Listed ministers serve independently, without oversight from the Historical Society.
The Active Minister Directory reflects ministers who are currently available to serve and provide the services listed in their bios. We ask listed ministers to make every effort to respond to inquiries within 48 hours, even if they aren’t available..
