Why I Founded the NSSCHS

The National Spiritual Science Center (NSSC) as a physical institution may have closed, but its mission and teachings live on.

I founded the National Spiritual Science Center Historical Society to protect and preserve its legacy — as a Spiritual Science minister who completed its rigorous training in 2004 and refused to let its wisdom fade into obscurity. This legacy embraces the principles of spiritual healing, energy awareness, psychic development, meditation, and the inner discipline passed down through NSSC teachings.

That decision became even more vital when, eleven years later, the center’s teachings and ministerial presence began to disappear. Then, in 2020, I had a dream. I don’t remember every detail, but I recall the message, the tone, the voice—clear and alarming—sharing his thoughts:

“……………………………………………………….. church.”

That one sentence carried enough weight to shift everything. Upon waking, I wanted to believe I was speaking to myself, but I had never referred to the center as a church.

I received it as a spiritual nudge—to do something. The message was not a vision, but a message so urgent it moved me to act without hesitation. So, I created something that would protect the integrity of the work, honor those who walked the path before me, and keep the spiritual lineage from being reshaped into something unrecognizable.

The Historical Society was not born out of ambition, but out of alignment.  As the president and founder, my goal is to preserve the history and integrity of the National Spiritual Science Center’s academic program, which was at risk of being lost. The curriculum was rigorous—requiring deep study of complex occult texts, weekly assignments, daily meditation reports, and demonstration of spiritual development—all demanding a high level of discipline as your spiritual gifts unfolded.

Missing more than three classes, arriving late, or failing to complete assignments could result in dismissal, making the journey even more challenging for those committed to the path.

My studies at NSSC were not easy, nor were they meant to be.  I refused to suppress my curiosity or dim my light. I remained steadfast in my purpose self-discipline, discernment, and spiritual transformation — and I continued to expand in wisdom and spiritual growth.

Every class was an opportunity to uncover hidden mysteries waiting to be explored and integrated into my life.

Spiritual Minister’s Training, Energy Awareness & Discipline

For serious students, the desire for esoteric knowledge is a powerful vibration—one that resonates and deepens as we evolve. I remember arriving for class one day and sensing the thick, discordant vibrations of the room before I even stepped inside.

The frequencies were unsettling, clashing with my own energy. I couldn’t bring myself to enter. Feeling safe enough to speak up, I shared my experience with my teacher. Though the classroom was empty, the atmosphere was heavy and stagnant. She performed a powerful yet simple clearing that immediately shifted the energy of the space.

I was fortunate to have a teacher who was not only attuned to subtle energies, but skilled in clearing stagnant vibrations—a method she both practiced and passed down. I still use it to this day.

May she rest in power.
She was one of NSSC’s most gifted spiritual ministers.

Divine Message: Stay the Spiritual Course

In 2001, Spirit (God-self) sent me a clear message one cold night after class. I had decided I was done; the challenging energy in the environment had made me question whether NSSC was right for me. But my inner God had other plans, and those plans were about to be revealed.

That night, as I approached my car, the doors refused to unlock. A classmate tried to help, but nothing worked—the door remained sealed shut. I finally accepted a ride home and told my husband about the issue. Without hesitation, he walked back with me to the school in silence. That silent walk gave me time to reflect and read the message Spirit was sending me.

Upon arriving at the car, my husband effortlessly unlocked the door.

The message was clear: this was not the time for me to leave. I had to stay and complete my ministerial program. Interestingly, I never had another issue unlocking my car. Spirit speaks in ways we can all understand—if we just listen.

A Lifelong Path of Spiritual Science Study & Spiritual Healing

Rev. Starlene – DC Spiritual Healer and Spiritual Minister

Four years later, after countless questions, rigorous studies, and deep personal growth, I received my final evaluation, ordination, and ministerial credentials.

Today, I continue my research into the occult, spiritual healing, energy medicine, mediumship, and the Tarot—not as a deck of cards, but as a symbolic and sacred journey of the soul. Because spiritual growth is a lifelong path.

Over time, this path has also shaped my boundaries. I’ve learned that spiritual work calls for clarity, sincerity, and mutual respect. As a member of the National Spiritual Science Center Historical Society, I serve those who are spiritually aligned and truly seeking a meaningful experience.

I believe balance is peace, calm, healing, and wisdom. That’s what matters to me. No matter how cool I may seem, I have no space in my life for drama or disrespect. My work is rooted in clarity, peace, and sincerity.
